Sébastien Del Grosso
Personal Background
Sébastien Del Grosso Currently lives in France. He learned his skills of drawing and painting from watching his Grandmother work. This is where he learned to and got his drive to draw and paint. Unfortunately he is very rarely satisfied with his work. He has a restless mind because of this, "I come up with most ideas in isolated areas or before bed. Despite these hardships he hopes to have a gallery in New York.
Style
He has a unique style. He takes portraits and sketchs over them. He often makes something unusual to add to them, like an extra arm, or extra head, or wings. What I can't tell is if he is putting the person in front of a paper when he takes the picture or if he is drawing on paper and just blending the layers. Other than that there are always some kind of sketch on face. Every image he has made holds a sketch mark on the face. Strangely to me he also holds a sad theme over all of his pictures with this style.
Philosophy
Since my childhood, I always felt the need to express myself through art. I began drawing and painting, then, I turned this into my job as I’ve been working in the world of graphics for some years now.
I’ve always been interested in the field of artistic creation. Naturally, I felt the need to try photography and I took my Canon EOS for the first time in 2011. Firstly, I got attracted by the macro photography, then I was interested in landscape and long exposure photos during my various travel. Eventually, I became obsessed by conceptual images that tell their stories.
Sébastien Del Grosso mainly makes his art based on his life. In the sketch series "sketch of life" he makes all of his art as direct as possible expressing his life. A lot have the person on the portrait yelling or punching themselves. One has wings so he clearly has
